Scrotal ultrasound is used to visualize scrotum and other organs including testicles and epididymis (tubes immediately next to the testicles that collect sperm). It helps to check the Cyst/tumor in scrotum, size and symmetry of testicles, lump in one or both of the testicles, reason for pain in the testicles and abnormal blood flows in the testicles caused by testicular torsion. It is also recommended to determine the cause of infertility in males.
