The presence of sugar (glucose) in urine is called glycosuria. Glucose is usually not found in urine. If it is, further testing is needed. Higher than normal (0 to 15 mg/dL) levels of glucose in urine are indicative of diabetes, pregnancy or renal glycosuria : a rare condition in which glucose is released from the kidneys into the urine.
