X-ray equipment transmits a beam of radiation through the legs during a Scannogram; both Lower Limbs X-ray and an image are recorded on a particular film or a computer. The image depicts the soft tissues and bones, including the femur, tibia, and fibula, allowing physicians to measure and compare the length of the legs. It is done - to determine the total length of the leg bones and also to determine an imbalance in the length of the legs, particularly in youngsters.
