Healthcare sector is degrading?

We all have experienced the recent pandemic, so what do you think, how INDIA handled it? Do you think the healthcare sector of our country is to be trusted? Do you think we need a change? Sure India has a vast healthcare sector, but is it good enough? There are some major differences in the quality, availability, and quantity of healthcare facilities between rural areas and urban areas as well as the private sector and public sector.

By default, we know that urban areas with private healthcare are better than rural or public healthcare systems. Right? But why is that so? Why would you prefer a private hospital rather than a low-cost public one? Or why do people in the rural areas tend to have a cure for every disease inside their homes? They sure prefer home remedies for any other medical condition

Where are the buildings?
India lacks the infrastructure in medical institutes, as per the requirement of these institutes we are lacking quite a bit.

Building medical colleges need space and end up being built in the rural areas. And due to the lack of proper arrangement in these areas, it has become quite inadequate to attract teachers, doctors, and students.

Where is the medical support?
India is one of the most populated countries in the world, but we are in a massive shortage of medical manpower and professionals. More than 60% of India's population resides in the rural areas of India and is the main concern. The percentage of doctors to the patient is lower than 0 doctors to 1000 people.

How crowded is it?
One of the reasons for the degradation of the healthcare system in the country is the unimaginable amount of crowd that needs medical attention. Some of the real-life examples were seen in the recent pandemic of how our whole healthcare failed.

Money problems!
When given the choice between public hospitals and private ones we tend to go to the private hospitals when the public hospitals have a free service. This is because of the quality of service. But at the same time, private institutions charge a heavy medical bill. This creates affordability issues for the citizens. If the government hospitals would have been not poorly equipped there would have not been any difficulty. Despite the heavy shift of crowd from the public sector to the private sector, the government is failing to improve the quality of these public hospitals.

These small reasons become life-threatening during the time of emergency, which was recently experienced by us. Apart from all these, there are more reasons why we are failing in our healthcare system. A country will only get developed and prosper if the people are healthy and receive proper medical care.

Don’t you agree?

This is something we should be concerned about.

But do you think there is a solution?

Enabling e-medical service can make a great change, don't you think? In fact, some of the medical e-commerce platforms are having a revolutionizing effect.
